The K.C. Bora Group currently operates two Fully Automated manufacturing & processing plants with state-of-the-art machinery located at Pune (180km from Mumbai). Bora Agro Foods’ Sesame Hulling Plant is a HACCP certified unit.
Unique Manufacturing Process
The manufacturing plants consist of a unique manufacturing process and customized machinery, which were indigenously developed by the Group with meticulous research & expertise of over 5 decades in the Sesame Industry.
This process is further enhanced by use of the latest industry-leading Ultra-sensitive Bi-chromatic Optical Sortex Machines which ensure very high product purity, thus, giving us a formidable advantage in the market. Currently, the group has 10 Sortex machines imported from Buhler Sortex Ltd. (London).
In-House Laboratory For Food Safety & R&D
Bora Agro Foods gives utmost importance to Food Safety and strongly believes that continuous R&D is important for achieving excellence. Working on these lines, it has established a well-equipped Food Testing Laboratory and R&D Unit with round-the-clock in-house lab technicians.
Every batch of Sesame Seeds dispatched from the plant is sampled and tested on various physical, chemical & micro-biological parameters (E. coli, Salmonella; seed count, purity, etc.) Apart from in-house testing, we also utilize services of leading independent testing agencies like SGS, Geo-Chem etc.
Production Capacity
The K.C. Bora Group is one of the largest manufacturers of Hulled Sesame Seeds in India, with a plant completely dedicated towards catering to the export market, whereas the other plant caters to the domestic market.
The combined manufacturing & processing capacity of both the plants is about 30,000 M.T. per annum.
Future Expansion: The Group is currently constructing a new multi-utility manufacturing & processing plant for Sesame Seeds & Spices which will substantially add to the current production capacity. This next-generation plant will be a class apart in terms of food safety, energy efficiency, etc.
